State of the Art Sterilization

Here at Dr. Iverson’s office we strive to offer the best quality of case, this includes our sterilization techniques. We have the latest and most efficient methods available in the field of orthodontics. Each staff member is trained in the proper handling of materials and equipment.

For each procedure you will receive your own tray of necessary instruments which give us the opportunity to eliminate cross contamination.

Our sterilization methods start with a Hydrim machine that is used to fully wash the instruments with hot water and disinfectant solution. When the wash is completed and the instruments are dried, they are packaged in a sterilization bag. This bag then goes through a full cycle of heat sterilization that reaches a temperature of 270 degrees, fully killing any living organisms. Our state of the art sterilization equipment are each tested weekly by an outside agency to ensure proper sterilization.

These sterilization steps are the most efficient ways available to provide the safest orthodontic care to our patients, as well as the safest work environment for our staff and doctor.
