Thomas Iverson DDS, MS
I graduated from the University of California at San Diego in 1980 where I earned a bachelors degree in Biology with a double minor in Psychology and Chemistry. It was while doing an externship at the Balboa Naval Hospital's Dental Clinic that an interest in dentistry was developed. One of the officers attended the Baylor College of Dentistry and had very good things to say about its curriculum and instructors.

In 1985, I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry, which was located in Dallas, Texas. I had really enjoyed my orthodontic training under Dr. Moody Alexander so I applied to orthodontic residencies and was fortunate to be able to attend Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. I received my certificate in Orthodontics in 1987 along with a Masters in Oral Biology. My thesis involved the angular variability of the crown of the tooth with its root.

I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics which is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists. I actively participate in the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the local dental society. I am also a member of the Super Shulman Orthodontic study club, which is comprised of top orthodontic practitioners in the county. I am committed to staying in the forefront of orthodontic science by continuously attending numerous continuing education courses.
My desire is to make your visit here comfortable and fun while improving the beauty of your smile and health of your teeth.
